Tactile surface guide plates from fibreglass GFK-LINE

Tactile surface guide plates from fibreglass

Tactile surface guide plates in shape of longitudinal ribs are made of long term UV stable fibreglass and ensure long lasting stable performance. They are designed to alert and inform blind and visually impaired people about imminent danger, or provide them with directional instructions. According to the law against discrimination of blind and visually impaired people it is required to ensure the location of a tactile guideline in shape of longitudinal ribs in shopping centres, railway stations, squares and in all public areas described by the standard.

  • tactile surface guide plate - consists of ribs of longitudinal shape and provides direction and orientation instructions
  • tactile surface guide strips GFK-LINE are ideal for retrofitting
  • location and distribution of tactile guidelines/ tactile guide strips / in accordance with the applicable standard of a country
  • installation by gluing and anchoring

Tactile surface guidelines /plates/ from a design in shape of longitudinal ribs are made of fiberglass and ensure long lasting stable performance.
PRODUCT DESCRTIPTION

Tactile surface guidelines /plates/ from a design in shape of longitudinal ribs are made of fibreglass and are resistant to acids, solvents, ozone and oxidation. They are also characterized by: good ability to slow down the spread of fire, good resistance to abrasion, excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, sunlight and oxidation, excellent resistance to alcohols, alkalis and acids, very good colour fastness. The system has already proved good indoor and outdoor, at bus stops, pedestrian crossings, railway stations.

PRODUCT FEATURES
  • Minimal impact on staff/pedestrians during installation
  • Quick and easy installation using a template on all surfaces, including concrete, ceramic tiles, asphalt, wood floors and
    most other surfaces
  • Embossed anti-slip surface, safe and non-slip
  • Long-lasting product performance, impact resistant
  • Low maintenance demands
  • Walking possible immediately after installation, by full load after 24 hours
  • They are modular and their universality allows endless configurations to adapt to new or existing surfaces and styles of design
  • Tactile guide strips can be cut to fit any angular combinations
  • UV stable - stability ensures colour stability of the product indoors and outdoors
  • GFK-LINE offers specifiers the possibility to equip all places, which are to be labelled by a warning system for the blind, in a
fast and economical way, without earthworks

LUMINANCE CONTRAST

In line with international and European standards the luminance contrast between the tactile surface warning strips and the surrounding substrate must be minimum 30%. GFK-LINE is available in a variety of colour inserts that allow specifiers to choose the most appropriate contrast values for a given installation.

Tactile surface guide strips are available in a number of standard and the most commonly used colours.

Customers can also request a custom colour (with respect to the minimum amount) in order to make the tactile strips fit into any design, style and colour scheme.

PURPOSE OF USE

Tactile surface guidelines /tactile guide strips/ with a design of longitudinal projections in shape of rib projections in a colour contrasting with the colour of the surrounding surface and functional arrangement of the longitudinal strips  /ribs/ on the ground provide directional guidance.
Tactile surface guidelines allow you to build guidance on the ground that is recognizable by legs and white stick and can be also detected visually.
Tactile surface guidelines help blind and visually impaired people to find their way with help of a longitudinal design. Tactile surface guidelines enable blind and visually impaired people to quickly and safely get from the starting point to their place of destination.

VARIANTS:

A)                                                                                                                        B)

Individual tactile surface guidelines /tactile guide strips/ fit harmoniously into the existing architecture and break the concept in an attractive way.

APPLICATIONS

Versatile and flexible

The variability and flexibility of tactile surface guide strips means that they can be easily fitted into almost any construction without limitation of creative design and architecture. Whether used in new or old constructions, they work exactly the same way.

According to the law against discrimination of the blind and visually impaired, it is required to ensure the placement of tactile surface guide strips in internal and external areas open to the public.

Guide strips - are placed on the top and bottom of each arm of the stairs, on ramps in front of escalators, on each side of pedestrian crossings, along platforms of public transport (such as bus stops, train platforms, subway...), sea and river transport and in all areas, which are described in the decree of the country.
